Decide on time and money before leaving home, and treat both as fixed. Settle who drives back, or book a room, before the first bet is placed. At the resort, Gateway applies OLG's PlaySmart responsible gambling program. Anyone self-excluded or trespassed from a gaming property anywhere in Ontario is barred from visiting. Under provincial law, people under 19 can neither enter nor stay in a casino, and online play also requires being 19+.
Method
About Road Notes
Orillia Road Notes works as an independent travel guide, neither a casino itself nor the site run by the resort. It is written and signed collectively as Road Notes. Not one page has a personal byline, and no named author stands behind the site.
Two photographs come from Wikimedia Commons, each credited with author and licence. The scenes at the entrance canopy, in the lobby, in a suite and at Chow Lucky Noodle Bar are generated images. Each was made from real photographs of Casino Rama Resort, seen from other angles and in other light. The resort front on the front page is a photograph by onay davus on Flickr, edited and credited under it.
The roadside picture by the car is a generated scene. Nobody shown in any of these images is a real person. Authors, licences and changes for every image are listed under Image sources at the end of this page.
Road Notes checked facts on October 5, 2026, against the resort's own pages, Gateway Casinos, the AGCO, iGaming Ontario, ConnexOntario and OpenStreetMap. Distances run as straight lines from one map coordinate to another, rounded to whole kilometres. Roads are longer than these lines.
